So last night we took my Papa out for his birthday dinner. We went to Spaghetti Eddies in Glendora. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been going here since I was little. They have the most amazing Italian food. However, since I am trying really hard to watch what I eat I had to be more careful than ever. I can't get my usual which is usually ravioli or something else horrible and eat tons of bread that is so yummy too. So before leaving work Heather K. and I worked together to figure out what to eat. The restaurant has actually come up with 3 meals that were under 600 calories. It came with a bowl of minestrone soup or a salad and bread. Well I skipped the bread. One piece would just not be enough because I LOVE BREAD! Instead of getting tea I simply drank water with dinner. I had 5 glasses of water yesterday at dinner. Here is what I had for dinner:
I had the Cappellini Bandiera. It was Cappellini pasta tossed with a basil-pomodoro sauce, and served on a bed of steamed thin cut zucchini and topped with Romano cheese. It was only 451 calories. It was actually really good. I was shocked at how good it actually was. I also had the minestrone soup instead of salad. It was yummy too!!
It was a really good dinner. After dinner we went home and I didn't have anything else to eat for the night! I was full! I couldn't believe that something that was good for me actually kept me full!!!
